Skillet Chicken with Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce

    • 4 skinless boneless chicken breasts
    • 1 Tablespoon fresh lime juice (I use closer to 1.5 Tbsp)
    • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
    • 1 Tablespoon chopped cilantro
    • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes1
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
    • 1 cup chicken broth (I recommend reduced sodium)
    • 3 Tablespoons heavy cream2
    • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed

    How to Make It

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • If the chicken breasts are uneven in thickness, pound them down so they're all even. This way all the breasts will cook through similtaneously. Sprinkle each with salt and pepper.
  • In a large ovenproof skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes, turning once. You want the chicken nice and browned on the outside. (It doesn't have to be cooked all the way through yet.) Set chicken on a plate and cover tightly with foil until step 5.
  • Remove skillet from heat and add the broth, lime juice, onion, cilantro, and red pepper. Return to heat. Cook and stir to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a boil. Allow to boil gently, uncovered, for 10 minutes or until the liquid is reduced to around 1/4 cup. (During this time you can steam some veggies to have on the side, like asparagus.) Reduce heat to medium-low, then add the cream and butter. Stir until butter has melted.
  • Add chicken to the sauce and place the skillet in the preheated oven. Bake uncovered until the chicken is completely cooked through, about 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve chicken with sauce spooned on top and any of the listed optional garnishes. Leftovers keep well in the refrigerator for a few days. Reheat to your liking.

    • 1 cup grated mild Cheddar cheese for the topping

    How to Make It

  • i have never made a baked macaroni and cheese before ( only from the box )and have been anxious to make one so I finally got to try this one last night for dinner. Everyone loved it!! They said it's a keeper!. So to prepare this recipe you need first to heat oven 350 Degrees . and after that you need now to prepare a dish for working , i prefere a deep sided 9×13 pan by coating with cooking spray. Then for sure set aside.
  • Second step : No lets move to the next step , so at this step you need to bring a large pot of water to a boil. Then you need to add salt, next make sure to follow the package instructions to cook elbow macaroni till tender. Now after all that you need next to drain then transfer the macaroni noodles to the baking pan.
  • Step 3 : One time the macaroni is cooking, you need to take a separate bowl and mix the milks & eggs . So make sure to whisk till thoroughly xombined. Then all what you need is to add the other ingredients , so add the butter, cheeses, sour cream, salt, pepper, & sugar then you need to stir to combine. Next pour over the macaroni ^then again stir to combine.
  • Step 4 : Finally step , At this step you need to top with the grated mild Cheddar cheese. And finally bake between 30 - 45 mins .
  • boston-market-meatloaf

    • 1 cup tomato sauce
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons kraft barbecue sauce
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground sirloin
    • 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour
    • 3/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 1 dash garlic powder

    How to Make It

  • 1 Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • 2 Combine the tomato sauce, barbecue sauce and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • 3 Heat the mixture until it begins to bubble, stirring often, and then remove it from the heat.
  • 4 In a large bowl, add all but 2 tablespoons of the tomato sauce to the meat.
  • 5 Use a large wooden spoon or your hands to work the sauce into the meat until it is very well combined.
  • 6 Combine the remaining ingredients with the ground sirloin-- flour, salt, onion powder and ground pepper.
  • 7 Use the wooden spoon or your hands to work the spices and flour into the meat.
  • 8 Load the meat into a loaf pan (preferably a meatloaf pan with two sections which allows the fat to drain, but if you don't have one of those a regular loaf pan will work).
  • 9 Wrap foil over the pan and place it into the oven for 30 minutes.
  • 10 After 30 minutes, take the meatloaf from the oven, remove the foil and, if you aren't using a meatloaf pan, drain the fat.
  • 11 Using a knife, slice the meatloaf all the way through into 8 slices while it is still in the pan.
  • 12 This will help to cook the center of the meatloaf.
  • 13 Pour the remaining 2 tablespoons of sauce over the top of the meatloaf, in a stream down the center.
  • 14 Don't spread the sauce.
  • 15 Place the meatloaf back into the oven, uncovered, for 25-30 minutes or until it is done.
  • 16 Remove and allow it to cool for a few minutes before serving.

    How to Make It

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8 inch round pans. Mix together the flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture alternately with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.

Top with another layer, and spread with 1/2 cup frosting. Add third layer, and spread with remaining half of the lemon filling. oklahoma-fried-onion-burgers

    • 1 large onion, peeled, halved and thinly sliced
    • salt and pepper
    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
    • 4-8 slices American cheese
    • Mayo, mustard and pickles, for serving
    • 4 hamburger buns, toasted

    How to Make It

  • Combine the onion slices and 1 teaspoon of salt in a bowl and toss to combine. Transfer the onions to a colander and let sit for 30 minutes, tossing occasionally. Transfer the onions to a clean dish towel, gather the edges together and squeeze out as much liquid as you can from the onions. Do this over the sink or a large bowl since the onions will have quite a bit of liquid in them.
  • Divide the onions into 4 separate mounds on a rimmed baking sheet. Form the beef into 4 lightly packed balls. Place the beef balls on top of the onion mounds and flatten the beef firmly (use your palm) so the onion adheres to the beef. The patties should measure 4 inches in diameter. Season the beef generously with salt and pepper.
  • Melt the butter with the oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. Using a large spatula, transfer the patties to the skillet, onion side down. Cook for 6-8 minutes, until the onions turn a deep golden brown and begin to crisp around the edges. Flip the burgers, then increase the heat to high and cook until well browned on the second side, about 2 minutes.
  • Add 1 or 2 slices of cheese to each burger and allow to melt. Add mayo, mustard and pickles to the top buns, then place each burger on a bottom buns. Serve immediately.
